2016 highlights + special announcement!
Earlier this week, I got together with two girlfriends to reflect on the past 12 months and set some big intentions for 2017. We ate avocado toast with smoked salmon, drank hot cocoa with vegan marshmallows, and chatted about the pivotal decisions we’d made, the missteps we took, and the loose ends we have yet to tie up.
As I listened to both of my friends, who are also entrepreneurs, I realized how important it was to talk about the highlights from the year, as well as the stuff that didn’t go as planned. It’s so easy get caught up in a go-go-go mindset and brush off the little wins, the beautiful moments, and the good stuff in between the hard stuff.
Life feels much more full when we give each experience the attention and celebration it deserves. So I highly recommend taking time to reflect on your year too, and also consider what you want to experience personally and professionally in 2017. All you need is an hour, a journal, and a pen 🙂
Here’s what I came up with.
My 2016 highlights:
- Going skiing for the first time in 8 years in Utah, although there were plenty of falls!
- Planning my sister’s 30th birthday party
- Leaving my part-time health coaching gig at Parsley Health to pursue my business full-time
- Getting engaged in Napa, California (I’ll be sharing the video at some point)!!!!
- Taking a trip to Big Sur with some incredible female entrepreneurs
- Managing a minor health scare head on, and coming out stronger as a result
My 2017 intentions:
- To look for joy in as many moments as possible, even the challenging ones
- To stay uber informed about what’s happening in the world and in politics!
- To make my day-to-day life much more about being of service to others
- To be a totally chill bride-to-be
In the New Year, I’ll also be launching my very first online course, Your Wellness Brand. This is an 8-week video training program designed especially for health coaches who want to stand out in the wellness industry without sacrificing integrity or authenticity.
AND after a year of blogging inconsistently, I will be writing two posts per month so that I can give you helpful insights into online branding, marketing, copywriting, and much more. It’s time!
So what were your 2016 highlights? And what do you want to experience in 2017? Take a moment to consider everything you’ve appreciated about this past year and what you’ve learned, and share them with me in the comments below.
Happy Holidays!
